The first week was CRAZY!
I LOVE the city. It is amazing! There are churches and squares and cafes and boutiques on every corner. DIS, where we go to class, is located in a beautiful building in one of the oldest parts of the city, so it is right in the heart of the city. The main shopping street, Stroget (roughly pronounced Stroel) is only a block away.
We didn't really have much time to go exploring though... every day was jam-packed with meetings and orientations and tours around the city. This combined with the emotional strain of meeting a hundred new people and coping with the new family, plus recovering from jet lag, left me pretty exhausted and overwhelmed.
I am just now getting into any sort of routine (I still haven't had a "normal" day of class yet), but I don't really expect the semester to ever really calm down. There is just too much to do and see!
